The Challenge

Veriphy, a Davies Company, has been serving the regulated sector since 2007, providing AML, KYC, KYB, and HR screening solutions to over 3,500 clients across legal, financial, property, insurance, and other regulated industries.

Since 2018, Veriphy relied on First Advantage’s Online Disclosures platform primarily for DBS checks. However, when First Advantage announced the retirement of Online Disclosures in 2024, Veriphy faced the challenge of ensuring a smooth migration for its clients, preserving compliance continuity, and enhancing its digital screening capabilities.

They also aimed to centralise their services with a single DBS check provider, enabling a more streamlined and efficient approach to operations. In addition, they sought to expand their offering beyond DBS checks, broadening the scope of HR services available to meet diverse needs.

A key priority was to provide an automated, auditable, and trackable process for end-users through seamless API integration, ensuring both transparency and ease of use. Furthermore, they needed to internally support the Davies Group’s global talent acquisition requirements, delivering solutions capable of meeting international demands.

The Solution

In July 2025, Veriphy successfully migrated to First Advantage’s KnowYourPeople (KYP) platform, integrating it directly with their secure system via API.

Key features of the solution included:

  • Single API Integration: Allowed multiple check types from one application link, streamlining workflows.
  • Expanded Check Portfolio: Added Digital Right to Work, Digital ID, Instant Employment Verification, and Overseas Criminal Record Checks in 100+ jurisdictions.
  • Centralised Provider Model: Unified services for both Veriphy’s client network and Davies Group, internally offering a one-touch application solution for their applicants and service users.
  • Real-time Reporting & Self-Service: Provided live status tracking and faster client onboarding.
  • Auditable & Compliant Process: Ensured regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

Close collaboration between Veriphy and the First Advantage team, led by the Customer Success team, ensured a seamless migration, with proactive support, precise project management, and zero disruption to client operations.

Outcome

Since migrating to KnowYourPeople (KYP), Veriphy has achieved a 100% uplift in usage, driven by significantly enhanced customer experience.

This growth has been powered organically through the introduction of new service offerings and increased client adoption. Onboarding speeds have improved considerably, reducing time-to-value for Veriphy’s clients and creating a smoother start-to-service process.

For the Davies Group, the solution has enabled global talent acquisition across more than 20 locations worldwide. The move has also strengthened the partnership between Veriphy and First Advantage, fostering ongoing innovation in compliance solutions.
